    I need to join your investment will this be a proper saving bond like i want to save for my pension day i want to invest a 1000rand more

      Knowing what you need to invest in for retirement is a very important topic that should not be taken lightly. I am not selling any investments on this site, but would suggest that you visit a fee-only planner, such as PSG Konsult to judge your personal financial situation. They offer a service where they provide the first planning session free. My personal favourite investment for retirement right now are SA Retail Savings Bonds, since they pay around 5% above inflation without any risk, which allows you to preserve the purchasing power of your rand. Right now I am picking the shorter maturity options, since interest rates are at historical lows and I don’t want to be locked into a low rate.
      My intention for this blog is to allow ordinary people to understand how to build their financial security. In the next couple of weeks I will post something on how to invest in RSA Retail Savings Bonds, how to choose a good Financial Adviser and things to think about when investing for retirement.
